After a two-month break, i decided to head back to a lake in Slovenia.

I had an amazing start to the session with a 29kg mirror but that all changed on Wednesday with the capture of a much bigger fish…

 

The scales eventually stopped at 37.5 kg (82lb 7oz) – the cherry on top of the cake!

It’s been a really crazy and unbelievable season for me this year and i can’t quite believe it.

With this fish, I have now caught carp over 80lb in 5 countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, France and Belgium).

I’ve caught this carp on a 20mm Monster Tiger Nut Hard Hookbait with a Sweet Tiger 15mm pop-up on top. This was cast amongst a scattering of Monster Tiger Nut boilies and some new test bait which i can’t yet talk about!
