1 CommentsMatt Povey: Bumper Session Using PVA Bags
The catch report behind Matt Povey’s latest trip where he banked a string of UK carp using PVA Bags with Yellow Hit N Run hookbaits.
Matt says…
Another successful trip this weekend!
I arrived on Sunday to lots of fish crashing out in a corner of the lake and cast 3 small PVA Bags of mixed pellets and a few Monster Tiger Nut boilies amongst the showing fish with Yellow Hit N Run Wafters as hookbaits.
Thankfully It didn’t take long for the first bite – a stunning 26lb common.
A lost fish shortly after made me decide to put a bed of MTN boilie and mixed pellets out to an area about 40 yards range to try and hold the fish which worked as a few hours later, I was playing a lovely old original of 30lb 4oz which had me buzzing. Unsurprisingly I’d moved the fish out before the night drew in but decided to stay and see if I could draw some fish back over the bait.
The next morning I woke without anymore action so needed to move. I noticed a ridiculous number of shows in the car park swim so decided to move onto them.
The same PVA bag tactics then resulted in a 27lb mirror and a 25lb mirror. 5 bites, 4 landed – job done!
Needless to say I can’t wait to get back out again.
