Here are the results for the Dynamite Future Networks teams in this year’s Junior and Youth Nationals, held at Makins Fishery

Elliot Newman says…
Junior National – Makins 2026
Last weekend saw the annual get together at Makins fishery for the 24 anglers in the team. On friday the anglers were presented with the groundbait, tshirts and other items from Dynamite baits. The rest of the day was spent practising and formulating a plan for the Junior team and three youth teams. This was crucial
Saturday was the junior teams turn, consisting of liv Olivia Seymour Fishing, Jack Copp Match Angler, Jenson ludgate angling, Harry Thwaites Angling, Travis Couch Angling page and Dylan Egan Angling
This year there were 20 teams of 6 taking part which was going to make this year the hardest in recent history to get a top three finish.
Liv Seymour did the draw and we were pleased with the lake placement of anglers but the pegs on phase 2 were not the best at all. It was clear that jenson, harry and jack were doing well on lake 2, 4 and 5 so the crucial results were to come from phase 2. Liv, Dylan and Travis fished superbly and with 18 points as a team we were quietly confident of a medal. That was until we realised that the 10 peg split sections hadnt fallen quite right for us and with an awesome score of 13 Leigh Ospreys had won the National – well done.
The team won a well earned bronze medal with
A section and lake win for Harry thwaites
Section, lake and match win for Jenson
3rd in section for Jack Copp
3rd in section for Travis couch
5th for Liv Seymour and
5th for Dylan Egan
On the individual front Harry finished 4th overall with 50 kilo and Jenson fished an awesome match to win with 99 kilo and a Fishomania qualifing place.
Youth National – Makins 2026
This year the three team selection was made more difficult as four of the long standing youths were away in france on the England U20s trial but the depth and strength of the squad is outstanding and was never a concern. The teams were
Freddie Harper-wojtyla
Max Owen
Alex Major Angling
James Geddes
Tyler Adam
Harry Michael
Jacob Lees
Abbey Cutting
Tai Bowen
Freddie Bacon
Oliver Downs
Archie Patterson
Tom Rangecroft Angling
Oliver Parkin Angling
Dan Porter
Dom Stone
Will Day
Charlie Isaacs
This year there were 12 teams of 6 taking part.
As always everyone from all three teams put their heart and sole into the match and the Dynamite Future Networks green team won Gold with 19 points in front of Leigh Ospreys and RAA
1st in section and lake win for Harry michael
1st in section and lake win for Alex major
2nd in section for max owen
2nd in section for Freddie Worjita
6th for James geddes and
7th for Tyler adam
The white team were very unlucky not to medal with Tai destroying his no 7 and 8 sections 2 hours in and Abbey was in the poorest area from the day before.
4th in section for Jacob Lees
10th in section for Abbey Cutting
9th Tai Bowen
5th Freddie Bacon
2nd Oliver Downs
3rd Archie Patterson
The black team consisted of 2 juniors and 2 anglers stepping in, Dom stone and Charlie isaacs.
5th Tom Rangecroft Angling
8th Oliver Parkin Angling
10th Dan Porter
7th Dom Stone
7th Will Day
10th Charlie Isaacs
On the individual front Harry Michael finished 3rd overall with 56 kilo and Alex Major fished an awesome match to win with 96 kilo and missing out on a Fishomania qualifing place by 3 kilo.
Well done to all the parents you were fantastic and continue to set an example that should be followed at these events. Well done to the Angling Trust Competitions its clearly a very stressful weekend and to Makins for the venue.
Roll on next year at Tunnel and in the meantime watch out for the team at the Hallcroft Teams of 4 league, Meadowlands, Moorcroft, The Sensas Challenge and the Commercial National.
We now have a team page namely Dynamite Future Networks please join or follow if you are interested and feel free to message if required.
Thanks must go to Clint Wojtyla , Steven Porter , Daryl Hodges and Duncan Lennox for what you have done for the team and good luck to Jenson and Harry Michael at Westwood.
