Warm weather, big weights and a lake record all added to another enthralling Lindholme Festival as 50 anglers competed for the honours in the five day event in Doncaster…

Dynamites Nick Speed was one of the anglers competing and had this to say «As always the prestigious spring festival at the prolific Lindholme lakes is a fantastic event for a number of reasons, but this year it was made extra special with Dynamite Baits coming on board to proudly sponsor the event. Thanks to Neil Grantham, Aaron Grantham and the Lindholme fishery team, they worked extremely hard to ensure all the 50 competitors not only had a great week catching plenty of fish, but also were surrounded by a great friendly atmosphere that made everyone welcome and appreciated for their participation.

On the fishing front the whole venue fished exceptionally throughout the week with each lake producing consistently good weights. Over the five day period no less than 27 anglers each totalled up and over 500lb in weight, which showed just how well the complex fished. On a personal note, I really enjoyed the week, especially the last day when I managed to set a new venue record from Bennys lake which helped me slip into 7th place overall, a very memorable day and a great way to finish off the festival. A massive well done to Mick Owen on the festival win, a well deserved performance from a class act and one of the nicest blokes in match fishing. Roll on next year.» Nick Speed
