0 CommentsLuke Vallory: Summer Carp Fishing Carnage!
The latest catch report from Luke Vallory who slipped his net under 12 carp to 34lb in an epic morning of carp fishing!
Luke Vallory says…
A couple of weeks back I had a successful overnighter managing 5 bites.
I was at home that Friday evening feeling pretty tired but the lake was on my mind knowing it was probably game on!
I’d already ready written off the swim I had caught from but I had another area in mind which would probably be free, so I arrived late on the Friday night at 9pm.
The lake was quite busy, but I was able to drop into a neglected corner swim where there was a nice gentle SW pushing in.
Soon enough the Marker float was out and I’d chosen an area within catapult reach.
I spread a good kilo of CompleX-T over the silkweed (which was rich in bloodworm) just before it got dark and then clipped up two rods with low-lying matching pop-ups to present over the weed.
The carnage kicked off at first light and by Sunday morning I had managed 13bites landing 12 to 34lb along with a couple more 30’s and a good head of 20s before winding in a 7:30am to get home for family commitments.
Definitely the best weekend fishing I’ve had in a long time!
