A light setup is key, and pairing that with the correct bait choices definitely leads to more bites&nbsp;!<\/p>\n<p>Although the carp are numerous in this canal, due to the cold evenings, they haven&#8217;t properly woken up yet. Therefore, targetting the Chub guarantees that I can get bites, and the fact they also give a good account for themselves is just another bonus ! My go to method for catching these fish is a small Hybrid feeder, topped with the <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/swim-stim-f1-sweet-pellets\/\">Dynamite F1 Sweet 2mm pellets<\/a>. Their sweet aroma and fast breakdown make them perfect for this time of year&nbsp;!<\/p>\n<p><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82906 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/276274115_5544076168939310_8028091758454209005_n-e1650377035322.jpg\" alt width=\"604\" height=\"688\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82906 size-full lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%22%20viewBox%3D%220%200%20604%20688%22%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" alt width=\"604\" height=\"688\" data-src=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/276274115_5544076168939310_8028091758454209005_n-e1650377035322.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Preparing the pellets couldn\u2019t be any easier\u2026 I simply cover them fully in water, and let them soak for 2 minutes. After this time, any remaining water is drained off, and once the pellets have been left to absorb for 15mins, you will have the perfect pellets for the feeder&nbsp;!<\/p>\n<p>My hookbait of choice is a <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/speedys-washsters\/\">9mm Speedy Washter<\/a>. For me both the size and colour of the bait contrast perfectly with the 2mm feed pellets.
