The little pile of feed with the hookbait in the centre is just right for quick bites at this time of the year.<\/p>\n<p>A question that I get asked regularly is which bait is best for the Method, and the fact is that I often use a combination of both micro pellets and groundbait right through the year, as the two complement each other perfectly. By adjusting the ratio of the pellets and groundbait you can control the amount of feed and attraction introduced, tailoring your feed to the conditions on the day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_78644\" style=\"width: 642px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78644\" class=\"wp-image-78644\" src=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3b-500x333.jpg\" alt width=\"632\" height=\"421\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78644\" class=\"wp-image-78644 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%22%20viewBox%3D%220%200%20632%20421%22%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" alt width=\"632\" height=\"421\" data-src=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3b-500x333.jpg\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-78644\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Method feeder is a highly effective device at all time of the year.<\/p><\/div>\n<h4><strong>Groundbait to Pellets<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The colder the water the more likely I am to use groundbait on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/swim-stim-method-mix\/\">Method<\/a>. My aim being to limit the amount of bait that I am putting in that will fill the fish up. With the carp being less active in the colder water there is enough attraction in the fine groundbait to keep them interested without filling them up. As the water warms though they want food, and that means <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/carp-pellets-low-oil\/\">pellets.<\/a> These don\u2019t have to be larger 6mm baits, but a feeder loaded with micros will keep them coming back for more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I let the conditions on the day influence my bait mix. Bright frosty conditions are likely to see the fishing being tougher, so I increase the percentage of groundbait. Cloudy, warm weather will encourage the fish to feed, and so I step up the pellets. Right now bright wafters (<a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/wowsers\/\">Wowsers<\/a>) are my first choice as they stand out really well and attract the attention of any browsing carp. I like a heavier bait when the fish are feeding more confidently as they tend to create a lot of wash as they move around. I don\u2019t think the carp are picking out individual baits when feeding like this, they are just inhaling whatever is in front of them.<\/p>\n<p>One of the great benefits of the Method feeder is that it is such a simple, yet effective way of fishing, so don\u2019t get too picky over what bait to use. Here is how to prepare the two parts separately before mixing them together in the right ratio.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Add a teaspoonful of <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/fish-gutz\/\">Dynamite\u2019s Fish Gutz<\/a> to a pint of water. Put the lid on the container and give it a good shake. By the morning the pellets will be soft right the way through, perfect for the Method feeder.<br>\n<noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-78656\" src=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/SEQ-6-1-500x333.jpg\" alt width=\"775\" height=\"516\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-78656 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%22%20viewBox%3D%220%200%20775%20516%22%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" alt width=\"775\" height=\"516\" data-src=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/SEQ-6-1-500x333.jpg\"><\/li>\n<li>Slowly add water to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamitebaits.com\/product\/swim-stim-groundbait\/\">dry groundbait<\/a>, mixing constantly to help avoid lumps forming.
