Dynamite Launches EcoChoice Label To Help Save The Planet!

First angling brand to introduce environmental label in a bid to go green.

 

The new label has been developed so that anglers can be more assured that the products they purchase have been manufactured with the environment in mind. EcoChoice is part of our push to become more sustainable including our drive to become carbon neutral by 2027.

Several of our most popular baits have already passed the requirements that are required to have the label printed on the packaging including the likes of our SwimStim and Silver X ranges and you might have already seen these in tackle shops. But we aren’t planning to stop there as over the coming months, more and more of our products will include the label which means these baits fit the criteria below.

EcoChoice is a pioneering step in our industry – a trademark for Dynamite Baits products designed for the highest possible performance and the lowest environmental impact, this was already the case for some, but we have had to work hard on others. We have determined a set of requirements to guide our product design which we have explained below. These requirements are continuously monitored, and we will keep raising the bar throughout our journey.

There are no general eco labels for fishing tackle – not until now. We created EcoChoice to help anglers make sustainable decisions. Our EcoChoice products must adhere to several stringent processes before they are awarded inclusion into this category.

There are no general eco labels for fishing tackle – not until now. We created EcoChoice to help anglers make sustainable decisions. Our EcoChoice products must adhere to several stringent processes before they are awarded inclusion into this category.

1. Feed Regulation Compliant – Dynamite’s products are made from certified ingredients from responsible sources, meaning that their origin is easily traceable and they meet the high quality standards set for animal feed regulations.
2. Recyclable packaging –Dynamite products are classed as animal feed, and they have to be packaged carefully. By using plastic, we ensure the products have years of shelf life. To reduce the environmental impact, the plastic we use is recyclable to make sure it can be reused.
3. Minimized packaging –While respecting the highest standards in packaging, we have minimized the amount of material used in packaging. Thus, in order to be EcoChoice-labeled, the packaging must consist of less than 20 % of the product’s gross weight.

These requirements will be continuously monitored, and we will keep raising the bar. By the end of 2022, about 22% of Dynamite’s products will carry the EcoChoice label.
