Mixed Fenland Bag For Mark Barrett

Posted Coarse News at Jun 29, 2011

mbruddbagMark Barrett enjoyed a cracking session on a local Fenland river when he combined a cracking bag of rudd with a lovely Fenland mirror carp.

The all round specialist began his session  by trotting Frenzied Scopex Sweetcorn under a light waggler for the Rudd. His bag consisted of many fine specimens with the two biggest weighing in at over 2lb in weight.

As the day wore on, Mark completely changed tactic and replaced his rudd setup with a 3 rod carp approach, opting to fish Dynamite 20mm Chocolate Malt & Tiger Nut Boilies over a bed of Frenzied Hempseed and 6mm Tiger Nut Pellets.

Mark was awoken in the early hours of the morning by a screaming run, and after a lengthy battle, he slipped the net under a stunning looking river fish. On the scales his prize weighed in at 21lb 10oz.
